News - James Stewart Returns at Red Bud -- June 28, 2006
Irvine, Calif. (June 28, 2006) – Kawasaki Racing Team rider, James Stewart, plans to return to the AMA Motocross Championship series on July 2, at Red Bud Track-N-Trail near Buchanan, Mich. Stewart was forced to sit out the last round at Budds Creek, Md., to allow enough time to recover from a deep bone bruise in his left knee which he sustained from a crash during round two of the AMA Motocross Championship at High Point Raceway in Mt. Morris, Pa.

“I am looking forward to racing at Red Bud,” said Stewart. “I hope that we can give the fans an exciting Fourth of July weekend in the Motocross class.”

Prior to his crash at High Point Raceway, Stewart went 1-2 during the season opener at Hangtown MX Park near Sacramento, Calif., for his first Motocross overall victory on a KX™450F. Only a couple weeks following the High Point crash, Stewart thrilled all in attendance at Motocross 338 in Southwick, Mass., by winning the first moto while riding in pain due to his knee injury. Stewart also managed to salvage fourth overall for the day, with an 11th place finish in the second moto.

News - CMRC Pro National Championship Round 3 -- June 21, 2006
Motolife.ca
Round 3 of the CMRC Pro Canadian National Championship started off blue skies and the smell of race gas in the air. The track was groomed and thanks to Saturdays down poor the dirt was well watered. Half way into practice the clouds started to roll in, but luckily it would not rain today (at least not tell after the racing was over).

After practice was over, a large group of riders including JSR, Morgan and many of other top pros approached the head CMRC ref. They thought that the woops were to dangerous due to there unevenness, and were concerned about the chance of massive rider injuries like had happened the previous weekend at Gopher Dunes were several riders were injured before changes were made. Most of rider either wanted the woops to be made even or for the last woop (the most uneven one) removed. Even though the CMRC had agreed that there would be no woops on any national track this year, they felt that since the qualifiers and practice had already been completed that it was to late to make any changes to the track. Although riders where not happy with this there was nothing else they could do.

News - WORCS Series, Washougal, WA: Round 7 -- June 13, 2006
Motolife.ca
The Washougal motocross track has always been hailed as one of the best locations in the U.S. to host a race and this weekend was no different. The weather was perfect and the track held up under an intense off-road race that contained deep, rocky terrain and fast dirt straight-aways which saw Patrick Garrahan place in the top ten. Mike Corder placed nineteenth.

While practicing on the Motocross track the day before the pro race, Las Vegas resident Kellon Walch broke both ankles when he tried to triple in the rhythm section and cased the jump. He will visit his doctor this week. KTM wishes Kellon a very speedy and healthy recovery.
